Hey guys,

So I've finally got my 1994 3.0 back together after blowing a head gasket (First time doing this large of a repair myself... It was.... tedious). I was very pleased when I went to go fire it up yesterday and it fired right up and sounds / drive great. However, after about 20-30 minutes of drive time the temp gauge VERY SLOWLY creeps over the half-way mark and up (again, goes very slowly once it starts creeping).

I am ordering a new Toyota thermostat, because I think mine might've rusted a bit while sitting for the almost 6 months the truck sat while I worked on it. Does anybody have any information / insight for myself if I am going in the right direction? If not, what other components should I look at?

thermostat is a good start. Did yiu bleed the coolant system?

It is highly recommended to jack the front of the truck up as high as you can, with the engine cold open the radiator cap, start engine and add coolant until it wont take any more. Its common for the 3.0 to have air pockets in the cooling system causing over heating.
