1993 toyota pickup receiver hitch

Does anyone know of a direct bolt on receiver hitch for a 93 pickup? I ordered a universal hitch from amazon that was supposed to work. Yes I can make it work but it will require some fab. I was wanting a direct bolt on due to lack of time. Any help would be appreciated.

Any of the Name brand ones make a direct fit hitch. I trust you can find your own part numbers???

The hard part if your in the Salt belt is getting the old bolts out.

Then keep all the bolts loose till they are all in or your never going to get all the bolts in.

Just why could you not get yours to go on??

Hey Wood,

I am not a hauling or hitch expert, so this is just what I have been told and what I have done. There is a lot I need to learn about it... I'd like to understand a lot more about weight distribution systems since our trucks are so light. I think that will be one of my next purchases once I get my truck re-assembled.

I personally bought a Draw-Tite Class III Hitch. It is supposed to be a no drill setup. It looks like it is the same hitch for the '92 and '93. I bought it on sale and I spoke with some people that liked them. I also visited my local U-Haul and talked with them.

It seems like there isn't much difference between Curt, Draw-Tite, and Hidden Hitch with our truck. I didn't find any models that were round tube or anything.

I have no affiliation with any of these websites, just listed for your enjoyment:
http://www.autoanything.com/towing/d...ceiver-hitches
http://www.etrailer.com/hitch-1993_Toyota_Pickup.htm

Here are some installation instructions: Looks like you need to fabricate 2 "1/4 inch thick frame spacer blocks".

Hope this helps. If I had done the install already I would post step by step pictures, but that will have to wait until after the engine!

Cheers,
-Mike

Thanks Mike that helped alot!

And Wyoming the hitch that I ordered is a universal hitch not a direct fit. Amazon said it would work but it wont without major fab.
