95 Toyota pickup 22re bent valve

I was looking on Craislist and I found a really nice 95 yota pickup with long travel suspension but the guys says that the engine has a bent valve is that something that is an easy and kinda cheap fix or should I stay away from this truck? Just kinda curious because I want to know if it is something that I could be willing to work with or not.

seems like an easy fix to me but it is all relative to your wrenching skills.
it is possible the piston was damaged.
have you ever pulled a head?

would have to be a smoking deal

Okay cool yeah I have a bit of wrenching skills and I have pulled a head before so that wouldn't be an issue. Do you know if it would be an expensive fix or should it be fairly cheap?

To state the obvious, any time you tare into an engine you could be opening a can of worms. If you were the owner it's a little different because you know how the engine has been treated and how it was running before something went wrong. Purchasing it on an unknown person's word just throws more suspicion into it. But people do get lucky from time to time.

Even on an engine that's your own, opening it up can still show you a few surprises. Ask me how I know.
