Trying to inport diesel toyotas from poland HELP

Hi my friend is going to Poland for three weeks and I had the crazy idea to buy some Toyota diesels and have them shipped home. I would keep one and sell some if possible. I have seen many diesel 4 runners for 1,500-5,000 eur depending on condition.

I have heard about laws where if it was a certain age it could be registered here will minimal issues. Does anybody know anything about this?

If this works out maybe I will create a waiting list.

You need to look up and research the laws from your state and see what they are to see how much of a pain in the ass it will be.
on a side note, if it was easy, cheap, and profitable, someone would already be doing it.

Just the Shipping charges would be a killer.

Have you priced those yet??

If you could make money people would do it.

It cost $2500 to send a new challenger from the US to Poland. I would assume it would be close to the same to come here. I am also thinking about just getting the engines.

The thing to do is contact exporters in the countries you want to ship to the USA from .Sometimes much easier then trying to deal with US importers .

Then fly across the pond and meet these people .

Fill up a container with engines

The vin on the engine must be the same that is on the frame and the body.

The entire vehicle must be more than 25 years old. Since were in 2014, the age starts at 2013 (2013-25 =1988). So a vehicle has to be a 1988 or earlier.

The vehicle must be inspected by the exporter county and the importing county for vin fraud.

Fees must be paid on both ends for import/export duties.

Shipping is on you and must be arraigned by you.

You must arrange for inspection in the US and the customs needs to sign off in order to get it registered.

There is no money in this game, unless your a collector and price is not a big factor, only the prize.

Eaiser to just get an importer to take care of the little things....

It snows in Poland (means road salt). That means that the 25 year age requirement makes this idea basically a non-starter.
