Little background: 1991 Toyota EC 4x4 SR5, 124K miles

Replaced the following:
BVSV, cat, coolant temp sensor, cold start switch, fuel pump, fuel filter, new OEM plugs/wires/cap/rotor, air intake tube, Denso O2 sensor and AFM.

Idle is very rough, no power when driving i.e. struggles to go 60+mph. Other than checking compression (which I have ordered the tools to perform this check), what's left? I have followed what I believe to be the appropriate steps within FSM. From my research, I am thinking that it might need to have valves adjusted (because there is not really anything left to replace). Any suggestions?
