2000 tundra exhaust manifold

I am passing along my beloved 2000 tundra to my son. My only obstacle is an exhaust leak on the left side at the header/block interface. I want to install aftermarket headers. Does anyone have some insight as to brand and installation? The dealer wants 10 hours labor plus parts. I was told the factory manifolds have issues, mine clicks until the engine is good and warm. will different torque specs help? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Becoming a more common problem with the 2uz engine I believe - header design flaw that causes a crack due to heat/cool cycle. Good handful of land cruiser guys experiencing this same issue. Not enough yet to get toyota attention for recall. Also a very costly repair due to difficult location - basically the engine has to be lifted to get the headers in/out. I believe Doug Thorley and EMS are two companies that started making aftermarket headers. The install looked doable yourself but was quite involved because of tight space, which is why they charge so many hours.
