86 22re always needs gas to start running

86 22re always needs gas on start up to keep running
Wonder if anyone can help me with this one the 4runner runs great after you get on the road but when you start up it starts then you have to keep giving it gas otherwise it will die. The only thing I tried was opening up the throttle body screw but that did nothing for start up.
Any help is appreciated.

First on a fuel injected engine stepping on the throttle just gives it more air
When was your last Major Tune up??
Could be a bunch of things causing the hard starting issue
Could be ignition related or a fuel issue
