Process for removing manual steering box

Hey guys, pardon my newbiness - I did a search and couldnt find a write up (mostly about manual to power conversions).

I'm about to swap in a manual steering box thats in better shape and properly adjusted (mine has slop even after adjusting top bolt/nut). Are there any special tools I need to remove and replace the steering box?

The the arm that comes off the box require a pickle fork to be separated from the joint after taking off the castle nut?

Thanks, i just want to check before diving in as it's my DD.

Pitman arm puller would probably be a better choice to remove the pitman arm. Rent one from auto parts store or buy a cheap one at harbor freight with a coupon. Other than that steering box is straightforward removal. You'll need a torque wrench for reinstall.

Thanks pottery.

The box I have already has the arm on it, so pickle fork on the rubber joint at the arm on the truck, or can I just use a hammer and beat on the arm to not mess up the rubber joint?

Turns out it doesn't fit my truck. Said it was 92 2WD, it has a 4 bolt head, my is a 3 bolt head and fits a lil differently and has a different size bolt hole on one side.

Likely going to just sell this. 4 bolt heads i guess wont work on 3-bolt head application.
