Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram?
I decided to throw and old sub box and amp I've got lying around in the back of the 4Runner so I can hear the radio on the highway. I was going to just splice into the rear speakers the way I installed this same set-up in my old F250 but when I pulled the speakers I discovered this:

Any clues to why there's 5 wires going in?
I'm guessing the black is ground, but I'd like to know which are for the woofer and which for the tweeter, if that's what this is all about. Anyone have any ideas?

From my experience, the white wire with the black stripe is ground and it is in several different areas. Just to verify, pull oneof your tail lights and see if that is the case on them as well. You will find some wire crimps on the white wire with the black stripe.
I have an 85 FSM and will see what I can find on that.

Welp, I pulled it all put again today and got it figured out. The green wires are to the actual speakers. The other ones I think run the circuit boards inside the speakers. Who knows what they do.
But when I stuck the sub box in the back of the truck I took one look at it and decided it was entirely too overkill.
So it's on craigslist now and when it sells I'll get one of those Clarion 6.75" powered subs to stick under my seat.
I'll update further when I get it in the truck!
