anyone know a mechanic/shop in the long island ny area who has good prices on a rear main seal?
unelss 1300 is the norm?

Rear main is not that hard to change, just getting the trans out.

 

it sounds easy but ive never dropped a transmission in a car before, seems like diy in the driveway might be the way to go though to save a ton of money.
was trying to avoid spending a weekend rolling around on concrete ><

 

For that much I would do the work myself. Is it 2wd or 4wd, manual or auto?

 

its a 93 pickup, 4wd 5 speed

 

You can do it if you have the tools. I've dropped the trans and transfer case in my truck in under an hour.
