'86 4wd Pickup carb hesitation/fuel filter
Hey thank you in advance for any information you could provide me! I'm not very knowledgeable with engines larger than a chainsaw engine, but I can take direction well. I just bought (three days ago) a '86 22r pickup carbed manual 4x4. It's amazing. 181,xxx miles. Much more fun to drive than my Ford work truck!
It hesitates sometimes while driving at high speeds. Just a slight moment where I can feel the engine slow itself and then recatching. It's always less than a second. No sounds involved. It seems like a fuel supply issue so I spent three hours today looking around online and in the vehicle to replace my fuel filter. No luck. There is nothing behind my oil filter or above my starter that has any lines on it. The link below is what I bought to replace. Seems easy enough? I've been searching online for hours but am unable to locate more information.

Could someone point me in the right direction as to how to replace this fuel filter? Or maybe the hesitation could be caused by something else?
THANK YOU!

The filter you are showing is right behind the cab, under the bed on the passenger side. You also have one in the tank that no one changes that gets forgotten about.
Part number for a new intank filter is #77023-12050. On ebay it is called a TOYOTA FACTORY NIB FUEL FILTER SUCTION TUBE DIESEL. It was selling for $4.50 when I finally found it. I paid $15 at Toyota. (83 pg 8) This filter is for carburated trucks.

External 22r Filter.
I knew I had a picture of the factory filter somewhere. Ignore the wonderful wiring hack job.
