Hey all-

I need a new cat on my 84 pickup. It failed smog here in California. I pulled try a number of things, but ultimately pulled the cat to find half the honeycomb gone. I went to O'reilly to get a replacement, but they have only 2 direct fits, one that is 17.25" and one that is 12.5". The 17.25" cat fits perfectly (mine is the same), but it has a port for what imagine is an O2 sensor. My old one does not have this. Any ideas on what to do?

I think you should be fine just using something to plug it. Like a bolt or something like that. I've never done it, though.
