I have completed the 4.8 chevy swap into my grandson's 95 4 runner. I understand there are 5 wires from the ECM that need to be connected, where are they located In the ECM wiring harness?

 

What year 4.3 , tbi , cpi, spci? You should get a factory engine and electric Manual for the motor off ebay. I got mine for about $30. Also get a factory electric Manual for the 4runner. It will show you where to tap into if you want all of the gauges to work like stock. Factory manual not Haines or any of the auto store ones. This is what i did for mine and you would never know it had a 4.3 in it. Well except it has a lot more power.!!

 

the 4.3 is a central port injected engine, came from a 1995 S-10 extended cab. Thank you for the reply.

 

Have you read this ? Might give you some good info. But you still need the manuals to tell you what the wires are.
