hi all i have a 1987 toyota 4runner sr5 that has a 22re swap into it. the guy i got it off it from said it was the mass airflow meter but i changed that and it still doesnt run. i have spark and fuel but it still doesn't run. any help would be great! thanks!

 

Make sure the timing mark and distributor plug wire one are lined.

Question. On the VAFM (AFM) is makethe connection is good and tight between the plug and the VAFM. 2-have you checked for any breaks in the wiring bundle? Not splitting it open per say, but looking for abnormal kinks or pinches in the bundle.

Also I think I read that you replaced the VAFM recently. If so are you sure you got a plug and play one? Just throwing it out there.

hey guys been out of town for a few weeks was working on the toyota yesterday ive checked everything that i can think of the distributor is sending signal to the coil but i am not getting spark i have fuel but it still isnt sputtering or anything there was an alarm system in it but i have followed the wires and pulled it out so i have power to the coil just cant get spark i have new wires, plugs, have tried 3 different coils, but the wiring looks hacked on it and i dont know where i should start looking for the problem Thanks for all the help

 

im not sure what you mean by a plug and play VAFM i got the AFM from a 94 4 runner with a 22re i also have another question my truck has a 22r computer but it is a fuel injection...
