Hey all, new here.

I have a 1994 Pickup with the 22-RE 4 cyl. engine. Recently, the truck would not start. The dealership replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and the debris filter in the fuel tank. When the truck was picked up from the shop, it was barely running and the problem was with the ignition. New NGK plugs (gapped to spec), new Toyota plug wires, and new Toyota rotary cap and button should have fixed the problem. The truck is still missing on the #1 cylinder. We know this is the cylinder which is miss firing because this plug is much more discolored than the other three plugs. Any ideas why it is still missing? Thanks in advance for any help.

 

if everything ignition wise is now new and working good, next place i would look at would be the injector

 

Thanks. I had thought about the injectors, so I filled it up with fresh gas (everything in my hometown contains ethanol) and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, then ran the daylights out of it. I was hoping this would help, but it hasn't made much of a difference. I know that in-tank fuel injector cleaner will not get everything, but does anyone think that this will help? Also, I didn't mention in the first post that the #1 plug is not wet with fuel. It is getting some fire, but for some reason it is not firing like it should.
