And how many should be in the head gasket kit from felpro cause I bought one and it only has 8 I thought truck had 16

 

2.7 l is a 16 valve dual overhead cam. Says it right on the intake.

 

Just making sure before I take head gasket kit back to advance auto and tell them its missing pieces box says no returns if opened but its not my fault they left parts out

 

When I bought a head-gasket many years ago, it didn't include valves. Is this a rebuild kit? One doesn't normally replace ALL the valves in a rebuild, just the ones that are burnt or cracked.

Are you confusing valves with head bolts? There are 10 of those that should always be replaced when re-installing the head.

 

I mean valve seals my bad but motor has 16 so wouldn't kit also have 16

 

Those may not be valve seals. You need valve seals when rebuilding the head or replacing valves. Don't know why they would be in a HG kit.

Take it back to Advanced and ask them what they are.

 

They are valve stem seals says it on baggie but it should have enough to do all valves and not just half
