I have an 87 4runner that has a fuel gauge that reads approx 1/2 tank high. When full, the needle indicates off the peg high, and when empty, the needle is at 1/2 tank. I have replaced the fuel sensing unit in the tank with no change. My amp gauge is also reading abnormal high. I have checked output at the alternator and it is normal. Any ideas?
