I havve a 95 4runner with 98% of the metal rusted out from behind the rear side bumpers. I am planing on using the metal from a pickup to repair. I do not want the side bumpers anymore.
Can anyone tell me if the 3rd gen p/u rear bumpers will mount up. I want a stock(ish) look. I was looking at the westen bumper too.
Another option is do they make an endcap that may bolt on to the end of the 4runner bumper to finish it look the pickup?

I am aware they do mount up differently (4R to body, P/U to frame) What I do not know is if the mounts are there in the 4R...?

You will have to modify the mounts, it is not a simple bolt up. Also, if you have a hitch, you will lose the hitch to bolt this bumper on. I would just get some cheap Ebay replacements (sounds like your 4Runner has already fallen victim to rust) and call it good

 

Belive it or not, the bumpers are fine on the 4runner. I just wanted a different look and not have to worry about mounting up the side bumpers after I repaired the rust with different/smoth/ no indent for said side bumpers...
