Transmission swap.

As some of y'all know i am looking to buy a new truck.
A gentleman here i town has offered my a good deal on a truck.
It is an '89 etx-cab v6 auto. Now right off the bat i thought nah.. but, it is almost one hundred percent rebuilt on the front, and it is an SR5 with a SFA. Given the hard time i'm having finding a truck it looks fairly attractive. But i really don't want an auto.
Soo, has anyone here done an auto to straight drive swap?
How difficult and expensive would it be? Is it pretty much cut the tranny tunnel and bolt in? Or is it fairly complicated.
If its reasonable and i can't find any alternative trucks, i would either do the work myself(if its not to complicated) or have a local shop do it.
If you have done it please give me any tips, thoughts advice or build thread links you can.
Thanks,
Speed

Forget this, the idiot just sent me pics, with the caption, i replaced the right front axle... suddenly i'm not interested. This whole hunt is very frustrating.
