buying a 1990 toyota 4runner comments/suggestions

its a 90' 4runner 113k miles auto trans. with A/C $3800

v6 which looks very clean. i called toyota and it hasnt had the head gasket recall done yet.

it has however had the A/C recall done back in 93.

the truck is overall very clean and seemed to run fine. the truck is very tight(no rattles or loose feel)

the underneath looks pretty rusted though which is a slight concern. no holes or anything that i see.

4wd and tranny both run smooth and shift when they are supposed to.

the inside of the front tires have more wear and the vehicle has a slight pull to the right which also concerns me. what could that be? anything serious?

the rear windows and rear windshield have tired motors. are they expensive to fix?

the body is pretty good but a minor dent in the rear bumper. this little package is going for $3800. think its a good deal? anything else is should look for?

Rust is a pain to deal with but nothing special there.

You should definately have it front end aligned and if the tires are bad, replace em.

The window moters can be expensive new so junkyards or ebay will be your best bet for those.

Welcome to Yotatech, If you are mechanically inclined and have thoroughly inspected it, looks like you did, then I say go for it. Plus needing 2 new tires and a front end alignment like Jamie says, you might be able to talk them down 3 or 4 hundred. Good luck.
P.S. Did the dealer say they would replace the head gasket free?

Welcome aboard!

I would check that headgasket recall out and be sure that the dealer will do it free of charge as they should...new tires and an alignment maybe in order and I would see if you could talk them down a little as Paul mentioned.

Other than that it sounds like a pretty good deal...
