Toyota 4Runner motor swap questions? What motor
Hi I just bought a 1990 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 3.0 v6 automatic. Its my first car and I eventually want to make it a wheeler. I want to do a motor swap on it. Im thinking the Toyota 3.4 would be a good choice. What years of those motors are compatible with the 1990? How hard is it to do the swap will the just bolt right in with no modifications? Would I have to change the transmission? How much can you buy one of these motors for? Thanks everyone.

Allow me to point you to: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160/
Those exact questions have all been asked and answered dozens of times, spend some time reading through the stickies and some of the build threads, check out ORS and TOS's websites (they're companies that make and sell 3.4 conversion "kits" and parts).
