Aisin rebuild!!!!!!!!!!

just broke down and cleaned my AISIN lockers and am now rebuilding them. was wondering if straight wheel bearing grease is ok to lube them up with or an all purpose grease. my thought was that the locker components and the wheel bearing components share the same housing pretty much so wouldnt the grease inter mingle?

What is an Aisin locker? Do you mean Aisin locking hubs? Lockers and locking hubs are two different animals.

This is what I used for my manual hubs: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...2421&ppt=C0139

Just remember not to put too much grease in the hub body or you'll have problems. A light coating is fine.

I've been using mobil-1 synthetic grease for years...truck has 175K and have never had a front hub of wheel bearing problem. I use same on wheel bearings and all parts of the licking hubs...Ditto the comment about not using too much on the locking hub parts.

Use whatever you want but like said don't use a lot. A light coating of any lube will do.
