Throttle body spacer

I was looking at the Airaid site, they have basically a copy version of the FIPK by K&N but they also have a TB spacer, Ive heard through the grapevine these can be effective, anyone have any input on the spacers??

It's too bad that SEARCH on the forum is still being rebuilt after weekend maintenance, there're are as many opinions on spacers as there are users on the forum.

fwiw, I have a Helix Power Tower and I think it works. Also, if it hold any credence with you, the latest issue of 4Wheel Off-Road talks of their latest project truck being converted for better mileage & performance. They installed a TB spacer.


Once search comes back, I suggest using it to look for "throttle body spacer". You'll find the threads and flames.

*Most* folks will agree that a throttle body spacer can work on carb'd engines, but on an FI system, it does nothing. Gadget dyno'd one and got zero gains. That seems to be a pretty consistent story amongst those who have tried them.
