Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Also have a problem. I bought an 87 pickup with the 22r and the guy said not to put over 15$ gas in it because the tank leaked. Well, I drove it a little bit and decided to put 20$ in and see if I could find the leak. As soon as I put the gas in I had a hard time getting the truck started and when I did it went to spitting and sputtering. Anybody had anything like this happen? Thanks

You leak at half a tank this means the hole is in the lower pan, actually it's about the bottom 2/3-3/4. Which means it probably had a silicone (or other non fuel resistent) patch, which might of droped into the tank and pluged up the line.

Start with what you know to be wrong and repair or replace the tank. Then while you have the tank off blow out the lines, and consider replacing the filters and pump..

No use chasing problems when you haven't fixed the ones you already know the source of.
