I'd like to find, or generate, a list of all stock gear ratios for '85 pickups. I am thinking there will be differences for Diesel, dually, 4x4, and such.

So, what I get:

4.10 most common
4.56 V6 option
4.88 G144 option...mostly V6, AT, tow package

Anyone have the ratios found in duallys?

If 4.10 is the common 4-cly ratio, what was the stock alternative?

i have never heard anything about dually ratios,
don't think the 4 cyl had optional ratios. idk.

2wd:

SR5: 3.583:1

X-cab turbo diesel
& Long-bed deluxe: 3.727:1

Long bed turbo-diesel deluxe
& long bed diesel deluxe: 3.909:1

Standard bed: 3.017:1

1-ton and commercial chassis (dually): 3.90:1


4wd:

All 4wd variants: 4.10:1 (no alternatives, no V6 in 1985)
