I need to unhook the trans and transfer case linkage so I can pull my center console shifter out to replace the bushings in my auto trans shifter. I've located the link pins I need to remove but the figure 8 looking clip that holds them on is facing towards the transmission. I can reach my hand up to it but there is no way to get a screw driver up in there to pop the clip, even if i could its only a couple inches off the tranny and facing the tranny. Any trick to this?
