94 4runner with downstream o2 sensor question v6

i have a question concerning the downstream o2 sensor or cat monitor..i know its main reason for being there ,but my question is this. will the computer change the way it runs if i have a code for it? will it run any richer or leaner because of the heater circuit code on that sensor?

I don't know on that year ECU, but the newer model ECUs with OBDII do have some adjustment of the open loop fuel trims based on the down stream O2 sensor feed back from the closed loop mode.

Yeah, my gut feeling is the 94 ECU is not sophisticated enough to adjust for that, but I'm just guessing.
