1993 hoods hard to open

I am in the process of buying a 93 winnie camper and the hood is very hard to open,it feels like it might break something you have to lift so hard. Two others that i looked at a 90 and a 91 were the same way! Anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it,i cant believe it is supposed to be like that.TIA

Inspect the hood latch for excessive wear and metal to metal contact, this you might be able to solve with some lube/grease. To lube the hinge you have to get under the wiper valance since our hinges go thru the upper firewall.

If they're all like that it's likely something the coach builder did, like heavy duty hinges or adjustments.

Mine is borderline danerously loose er

So when you pull the hood release does the hood pop up at all? It kinda sounds like the hinges are dry and need a little spritz of your favorite aerosol lube.

Would be kinda nice if the OP would stick around and respond instead of posting a question and leaving.
