a friend of mine just bought an 06' tacoma and it dosen't have intermittent. I didn't think it was possable for a newer truck to not come with them. Anyway i called the local toyota parts department guy to find out if its plug n play to upgrade. He had told me that it was not. Im not totaly sold on this answer. I know in my 88' 4runner all i had to do to upgrade was take the steering wheel off and replace the piece that the turn signal and wiper control mounted into with one that had the intermittent wiper stock(the switching done in the "block"). Has anyone done this up grade or is it not possable?
