Smile Built 79 pickup So. California

I've got a 1979 toyota pickup standard cab 4x4. Its your basic 35s lockers duals truck with a twist, the twist being that i had way too much money laying around and worked for napa when i built it so every single piece of it is new except for the body. 79 was the first year the toyotas came in 4x4, ive never seen another one.

Location: San Diego California
Price: 8000 OBO

Background: i bought this truck 3 years ago already lifted and kinda went through it from the ground up. Its done the rubicon twice (driving there and back), been on several 1,000+ mile road trips, done all the black diamonds at the training course, pancake rock bronco peak you name it, ten dollar hole, up the face of blowsand out at ocotillo it does it all so far. Ive even made it up oldsmobile in glamis with paddles on it.

Still have owners manual, all stock stickers, and some of the original papers from the dealer with a business card from 79.

Front axle:
1985, axle length truss and steering stops welded in/knucle ball gussets and ring armor
5.29s with a lunchbox
TG inspection cap
new rotors and pads within 2k
backing plate eliminator kit
longfields
TG chromoly inner and outer hub gears
ARP trunnion studs and hub studs
All new japaneese trunnion gears and wheel bearings
Marlin eco seal
TG felt rock rings
Hi steer with ram assist
Diff breather

Rear axle:
87 rear axle
5.29s with a detroit
TG inspection cap
Chromoly rear axles
New outer and inner axle seals
New wheel bearings (PITA)
Diff breather
Disk brake kit with new rotors and pads less than 2k

Suspension:
TG standard 3" lift springs
Bilstein 5100 on all 4 corners
bump stops up front
U bolt flip kits

Tranny T case etc:
Recently rebuilt w56 5 speed (or g52 i always forget)
Dual cases with 2.28 in first and 4.70 in second case recently rebuilt for no reason with the 400 dollar bearing kit (still have the other half of the kit, ended up being another problem)
Chromoly output
27 pattern rear flange
Front driveshaft is square with a cv
Rear driveshaft is a custom high angle driveline piece with a CV
1 stock mount and 1 HD t case mount
Budbuilt skidplate

Engine/misc:
Yellowtop
lifetime fuel pump
LC engineering 35 lb flywheel with a "tow rated" 2" larger clutch than stock
20r rebuilt right before i bought it (still have old engine if you want that too)
torquer cam
doug thorley headers
hushflow xl or something muffler very quiet
TG high output power steering pump
Weber 38 outlaw, jetted pretty good
V6 master cylinder/booster
MSD ignition system
within 2k ive done the water pump fan clutch swapped in a 22r distributor and put in another v6 radiator

4 90% goodyear wranglers with road hazard warranty for free tires when they get low
Amp with a sub
LED rock lights
4 100w offroad lights
brighter european style headlight
leather seat out of a cadillac
Sliders and bumpers
Side latch opening bed
Rhino lined bed
Sunroof
Tranny tunnel is sound deadened
Interior cage

Extras:
Comes with all the paint and primer to paint it all back stock factory blue, never got around to it
spare tranny and 2 cases engine driveshaft rear axle and plenty more

The only bad is it needs the stock carb put back on to smog, luckily i took it off as an assembly so there are only 2 or 3 vacuum lines that need routed, all fees up to date and in my name clear title. I daily drove this thing for 3 years, its solid fun.
May be interested in trades, but not for a car, jeep, rat rod or a dirt bike/quad/side by side. I like samurais tacomas and bikes to name a few.

Only selling this truck because im shipping to basic combat training and i dont wanna bring it with me to my first duty station, rather someone wheel it than let it sit, that being said if it didnt sell it wouldnt be the end of the world. Thanks for reading.
