Maintainance on a 2001 Toyota prerunner 2.7L

Hey guys,

Im looking at doing some maintanance on my truck, but not really sure what all should be needed. I have a 2001 toyota tacoma prerunner 2.7L with 150,000 miles on it. I bought it w/ 60,000 miles from a dealer, and they said they did the proper tune up for that mileage at the time. I have not done anything to it since except change my oil, and clean the air filter. I dont want to go to a shop and get ripped off with them telling me what all needs to be done. Can anybody give me a general idea of what kinds of maintainance I should do to my truck at this mileage? Thanks

Thanks, I have an owners manual. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have looked through it, but I guess I'm just trying to get an idea of what other people with more knowledge than me would do in this situation. For example, I was talking with a guy a while back that works for toyota and said that he had a lot of people with my same truck coming in with valve issues. He told me to get a valve adjustment ASAP. I would have never known this unless he told me. Now I wish I wouldve talked to him some more, lol. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Check the balljoints, bearings and shocks. I would recommend spark plugs, and maybe a coolant flush depending on its condition (should be bright pink). Other than that, look at the gear oil and trans fluid.
