How bad to do control arms?

Ok, here we go. Torqued the hell out of my pass. UCA today; it was just ready to go. They were crusty anyway. The lower isn't much better, so I think it's best to do, or get done, both of them. Then the driver's side at a later date.

How bad of a job is this gonna be? If I need to, I'll just bring it in to the mechanic! I am getting the parts from my buddy who did a SAS, so basically it's labor time plus bushings, ball joints and shocks.

Anyone done the whole deal and can describe what it was like?
Thanks!

Bad compared to what? Take a couple hours if you can operate basic tools.

Sure, I can tell you that its hard. Start to finish it took me and two buddies ten hours and we are not incompetent mechanics. If you're going to swap to poly bushes its a little bit more work. You re-use the inner sleeve that you bang out with an air hammer cut the remaining peices of the rubber off and then install the new bushes over the roll pin. The hardest part is swapping the bushes. Tearing apart and reassembling is relatively easy. As for Ball joints and shocks way easy... Either way best of luck any other questions feel free to PM me. -Keaster

Ok, ha ha ... gonna be 7 degrees here in the daytime the next few days...off to the mechanic she goes! At least I have my buddy's A's from his SAS, so it shouldn't be TOO costly.
I wanted to do this in the spring, but weather, road conditions and age forced my hand!

Thanks for the input....I figure trying to loosen everything up under the vehicle, in the driveway, and do the bushings etc., in freezing cold...better to fork over the dough!
