91 4runner front end making grinding and rattling noise
okay i have a 91 4runner that i have lifted 3 inches with a body lift. 5 speed trans. 35 inch tires. i ahve had a problem with a grinding noise in the front end of it for i dont know how long now and in the beganing it was just a once in a blue moon thing then it started getting worse when it got cold out side. now it has become a non stop noise and doesnt ever stop unless i hit a bump in the road then sometimes it stops for a bit or it will stop for a few seconds then start again and its also at any speed.
i have read all of the post about this and tried changing wheel bearing. all front end parts. cv axles, and adjusting my alignment. now i havent taken it to a shop for the alignment because its been doing this so long that the front needs new parts again and i dont have the money for all that right now, but if any one has any idea of what could be causing this please give me some ideas cause i am not sure if its hurting anything or will hurt anything but its my daily driver and my toy so i have to get this corrected thanks

well tomrrow i will get grease and stuff and try that and see what happens. another questin though i cant get my rear front a arm bolt to adjust my alignment lose the nut is lose but cant turn the bolt. what do i do with this. can i hit it with an impact and not hurt it or should i replace the steering componets and take it to someone and let them deal with it. cause the other problem i have is my camber is negitive so the tops of my tires lean in

I would try a long breaker bar and tap the end of the handle with a hammer while holding tension against it before trying an impact gun. I don't really see why an impact gun would hurt it, though. There's not really any stops in there that I can recall, so the worst is that the bolt would spin while moving the arm in and out.

No problem, just saw you're in VA, where at? My girl is in Blacksburg. Anyhow, the reason for me mentioning VA is that you might want to have another bolt on hand before you start hammering or using an impact on that stuff. I broke my torsion bar bolts and my Runner has never even seen road salt or winters quite like you probably experience, so don't be terribly surprised if it breaks.
