So my 22re finally crapped on me. 335k kilometers on it and i either have some serious valve problems or something wrong in the bottom end. seems to be running on 2 cylinders.

been meaning to rebuild it anyway since it had slowly been losing its fuel economy so much so that i went from 450k to a tank to 220 and lower a tank of fuel. But i need some suggestions on what parts and where to get them.

I've been looking a lot at engnbldrs stuff and i hear mixed reviews on them. some threads i read say they got 20k miles out of his stuff and others say that they get much more.

Thoughts on this? should i get gasket sets and head from stealership or just go to local parts store and order or do i order form engnbldr?


PS: heads been decked twice [PO rebuilt the head poorly] i know its not useable anymore.
