I did searches..here and many other sites, called my several dealers and had them look up my VIN. They can't tell me and all their books and PC programs go back only to 95. I know there is a keyless entry FOB for the 93 SR5, what I don't know is how to tell if I have the receiver in my Runner. I look under the driver seat and there is a box that says I can adjust it for glass breakage, under the dash, near the break pedal is a brown box with a plug coming out. That mean I can buy a fob? I want to a keyless entry site and they walk you through figuring out if you have the option and they state the receiver should be under my driver seat UNDER the carpet, but the only box I saw was the one I described above and it was ABOVE my carpet.

Ideas? Suggestions? I could go aftermarket but would be cool to keep this stock if I have it.

Well hunted around last night and pulled that unit connected under my dash by the brake pedal..it is a Toyota receiver unit. Looked at the piece under my seat and it has an antenna connection going to it so guess I am gonna take the chance and blow $25 on a FOB and see if I can get it to work.

 

How did this end up for you?

Same issue but I don't know how to program the new fob.
