Just picked up a new 90 4runner

This is my first post, and a standard question but I'm just curious. Rear window is hard to roll up. Rolls down just fine but up it takes a little help. Anyone have this problem? Fix?

Please take it easy in me, I'm new to 4runners. Thanks guys.

The more pics you post of your new rig the easier the hammer will be hammered down.

A quick search will bring you to your answers, and welcome!!!!!

Try some Silicone Spray into the tracks. I have seen that make a big difference. Make sure glass is in track as well. Here is a link to my tailgate thread.>>.Post #185 https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...99/index8.html

Yes indeed silicone spray on the tracks it also does not hurt to spray the regulator as well

After 22 years the internals are likely feeling their age. I opened up my tailgate and found that the tracks that the mechanism rides on were pretty much shot from exposure to moisture over the years. These aren't that expensive (although a bit of a job to get at) and with the replacements, my rear window goes up and down like new.

Good luk!

Sorry for no pics guys I just don't know exactly how to photograph it haha. I'm pulling the gate apart to see right now. Surprisingly I didn't break a single plastic clip! Ah geez now I've jinxed myself. Thanks for the welcoms, let you know how this goes. These trucks are confusing but so fun to drive!
