For anyone who has recently installed OME 881's

Did you get the recall notice??

Just kidding. I'm looking for some measurements from a fresh install of OME 881's (fronts) If you could post the measurement from top of rim to bottom of fender, and/or your ground to bottom of fender (up through the center of the wheel) for both DS and PS, I would appreciate it!

Also note if there's a body lift on your rig too.

Technically I guess it doesn't have to be a recent install, if you still have those numbers form whenever you did install them....

Anyone?

OME

With a 2" RB body lift

Front 881s: 39" from ground to fender well through center of rim

Rear 891s: 41" from ground to fender well through center of rim

Tada!

Thanks Brian! I was hoping you'd see this since I knew you just did an install.

Wow, 39" huh? I was around 37.5" (w/o a body lift)when I had the 882's on there and I was losing grease. But OK, that's what I'm looking for.

Measurements

2" RB body lift and some fudging one way or the other and it sounds about right to me...no grease loss here. It looks good and I don't even have on my diff drop yet. And I still need to get an alignment too!

What you doing with these measurements?

I could tell ya, but then I'd have to kill ya.

Actually, I'd just like to bring the front end back up to level, and I'm trying to figure out how big of a spacer I can use.

Currently I'm at 35 1/4 on the DS, and 35 1/2 on the PS. The rears are about 2" higher. 2" would bring me level, but seeing all the trouble I had with 882's I'm not sure if I should try to get 2" out of a spacer.

since you both have 285s and 16s, you should measure from the top of the wheel to the bottom of the fender for a more accurate comparison.

I kinda like my dragster. I'm not sure that the fender wells were level to begin with, but the 2" really isn't that noticeable and with a heavy tow load levels out nicely. I'll mess with the front end if need be later after the TJM and winch. Sounds like the body lift will have to go to fit the TJM or reduce down to a 1" RB body lift. So many choices, so little money!

Hmm..that's an interesting point. When I first installed the OME's, I actually had 245's. I didn't get the 285's till later. And currently I have stock 265/70/16's.

I've been wanting to put the 285's back on, but its just too cold to mess with it.

I didn't mind the drag look at first, because it was fairly mild. But now that the springs are worn in it seems to be a little more pronounced.
