just a quick question about off road lights.... my buddy gave me a set of PIAA 520's but i have to make up a harness for them... my question is if it is necessary for me to put a relay in and what purpose it really serves... any help would be great thanks

 

The relay isnt really for the lights, its for the switch inside that car. You dont want to run 20+ AMPS through that little switch, so thats where the relay comes in... I hope this helps.
