Braking issue - possible LSPV

Approaching a yellow light thinking I have enough time to make it through clean, I spot a cop and immediately jam on the brakes. At this point I have a hard brake pedal and what appears to be no front brakes because stopping distance is way longer than normal.

My first thought is brake booster. Checking vacuum line to brake booster is good and after replacing hose I get power boost on pedal press, Only it's short lived. Pedal press shortly returns to hard pedal. But the the booster wouldn't cause front brakes to lose pressure so after inspecting MC and front brake lines I see nothing obvious. I drop the spare to access the LSPV. The boot on the bottom of LSPV has fluid leakage through what appears to be a slight tear in the boot. So I think I have found the problem but not knowing enough about LSPV I'm here to ask for help. Stock 97 Taco- front disc/back drum.

Could a LSPV malfunction bias all or most of the braking to the rear and be the root cause of my problem? Any ideas on best deal for a LSPV replacement? Thanks.
