1986 4x4: radio, cigarette plug, and clock all quit at the same time...please help!

Hey guys,

1986 toyota 4x4 pickup. the radio, clock and cigarette outlet all quit while I was out on the trail one day. I have checked all the fuses in the fuse block on the driver's side panel, and the ones under the hood behind the battery...all were good.

Has anybody encountered this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it? is there a common circuit amongst these three items that possibly popped a wire on or something? I am completely stumped....

Please help!!

All three of those are powered by the 15a cigarette lighter fuse (above drivers kick middle fuse top). You said that you checked all of the fuses, but did you check them for continuity? I've found fuses that looked the very best, but were open in the section that you can't really see. Also the other common thing about these three circuits is that they all ground at the left kick panel as well.

Thanks for the help friend, that was it...must have just been a bad fuse where I couldn't see it. Man, I feel like such a newbie
