Opinion: 94 Toy PU 3.0; 99 Tacoma
So I went and looked at a local Tacoma this afternoon. http://omaha.craigslist.org/cto/3102364833.html
I am coming from a 94 PU with 120k on a 3.0 (200k on the chassis) runs pretty good, but leaks oil pretty badly.
We negotiated to 7k for the Tacoma and it checked out. Minus the 6" lift which i am not a huge fan of. But the CEL is on. It drove great. Those of you that are familiar with the truck, is it worth 7k?

I don't have one of those but I just did the 3.4 swap and it's a big improvement compare to the 3.0. I'd bring a code reader and see if you can bring the price down more with it. If the tires size are bigger then I'd ask about gearing change...

Recently repainted? Sounds like he is hiding things.
And the CEL is on, that could be a costly repair. I would be looking around for cleaner, better options. If it was a simple fix, he would probably fix it. I wouldn't buy it until the CEL is fixed AND the code reader shows all code issues fixed (not just cleared)
