Hey all,

I've been searching around and seeing that some toyotas came with a single driveshaft and others came with a 2 piece... mine is the 2 piece with the center carrier bushing that's shot, I'd like to convert it to a one piece.

I'm familiar with how to do it, but I need to know what years you can do a swap from the 2 piece down to 1 piece shaft, preferably as close to "bolt on" as possible.

i think 2nd gen would match since they are the same wheelbase. 84-88.
longbed and xtracab are the same wheelbase.
mine has a i piece driveshaft.

 

Awesome! That's great news, do you happen to know the length? Is it 55inches?

 

i got 54" flange to flange on mine.
sounds like it's within the slip yoke range.
