Best Gear Ratio for a 1990 toyota pick-up 4x4

What would be the best gear ratio for a truck that has a 4 in lift and carries 33X12.5x15 tires. I primarily use it for sand adventures. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

That 4.88 will it cause any issues for road trips or is it good for both?

4.88 and 33s works out to stock ratio I believe. I run 5.29 and 32s... that's a bit much for long highway, but terrific offroad and booting around the city. Also nice to pull ALL the hills in 5th.

I've heard you can use 4.88 or 5.29 with 33s. If you are concerned about hwy mileage... I think you're definitely going to want to stay at 4.88. Check the link Wabbit posted.
