Eastern NC Mechanic

So I took the old 92 in for a couple of things to the Toyota dealer in Asheboro, NC and they informed me the drivers side timing chain guide is broken. When I said, "how much?", they said "$1000.00" and then I passed out...

I know I should be able to save a little on this project if I take to a local mechanic, I just don't know anyone in the Raleigh area that is a good 22RE mechanic.

Anyone have any suggestions? Is that price about right?

if you know where zebulon is take it to brantley automotive. One of the guys that works there has been workin on 22re's for as long as i can remember and he races them in his dirt track cars. And there prices aren't bad either. He did the whole top end on my truck and he does a very good job!
