Thought I'd share this little mod I did that works awesome.

I took a license plate LED from superbrightleds (http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...-W2.htm#photos), fit it right above the lip of the glove box door and hooked it up to the factory switch (still available new at the dealer).

Only modification required for mounting was some very careful grinding with a dremel to angle the one mounting tab.

Works awesome! I also ran these same lights under the dash on both sides and inside the SR5 rear seat side pockets and hooked them up to the 'Deck Lamp' switch.

Nice I did the same, but just used little led bulb for factory mount in the glove box (sr5) and festoons in the rear pockets. I have some pics in my build thread.

RBX I've been searching your buildup link for this added glove box led but I don't have the time to go through the 50+ pages. I've tried searching the thread and Google but it keeps bringing back to this thread. Could you possibly post the link for it? Thanks!

 

I don't think I posted anything about the glove box light since I was just replacing the factory bulb with an LED. I went back thru my thread and all the wiring and interior lighting is in the first few pages with the interior insulation
