Thanking about selling. What should I ask
I have a 98 4runner. 5-speed, 3.4, 4x4. 186k miles. Silver over tan cloth
Maintaince:
Last summer- about 8k miles ago
-New compressor, dryer, expansion valve last summer - COLD A/C
-New power steering rack
-New tie rod ends
-New upper ball joints
Past stuff
-new timing belt and wp at 145k in dec 2006 - probably would replace again before I sell
-new belts in the past 2 months
-regular oil changes and fluid changes(mobile 1 on the fluids)
-tires (265/75) were new jan of 2010 along with plug and wires about 10k miles ago
-dec 2009 had the driver seat foam replaced
Upgrades
-231mm tundra brakes - new pads before selling
-manual hub conversion
-Sonoran steel 1.2 lift with tikico rears
-new moog end links
-stubbs rock sliders
-pro-comp 16x8 wheels
-satoshi mod
-tacoma antenna
-HID's, would most likely swap back to stock though before selling. I dislike the aftermarket lenses that were used
-tinted front windows to match the factory tint
-Toyota brush guard
-factory tow package
-10" punch woofer and sony amp added to the factory tape/cd
Bad:
-hit a deer dec of 09. Damage was repaired except for the black plastic at the bottom of the front bumper. I don't notice and it doesn't bother me.
-back in to someone and had to replace the tailgate. the glass doesn't go down the last inch or two. Also need to pull the licence plate frame off and figure why the keyless has stopped locking and unlocking the hatch in the past few months
-small ding in the rear crome bumper. my ex backed into a tree the 3rd day we owned it
I don't have to sell but I am thinking about it. My fiance doesn't really like it. She also gets car sick and apparently the lifted truck doesn't help. Gas is a little expensive. Also I bought another Porsche 944 and that and racing have become of more interest to me. It is nice to have something to transport the dog in, because he's not allowed in the car. Thinking about an Audi or VW wagon.

realisticly in vermont that would sell any where from 8 to 10 thousand but it really depends where you live, more specifically if your in the rust belt of the country or not. like right now my runner is worth around 1000 to 2000 beacuse of how rusty it is but if i include the big breaks, sound system, and tires it would be around 3000 and if i fixed some rust holes too...

Unless you have all the receipts and a way to prove it was that vehicle all that work done is just your word.
Also the facts about the window and the fact it is lifted can all lower the price as the part of the world you live in.
the real factor that decides prices is how bad you need to sell!!
Or how bad the buyer things they need the truck your selling.

I have receipts for the new power steering rack and parts, plugs and wires, and alignment. I couldn't get the old freakin leaky rack off and the shop did it.
I'm going to go look at a 97 4runner that was wrecked in the front and see if the hatch is good. If so i'll probably pull that, repaint and replace the one on there now.
