Hey I just got a 80 4x4 it came with a 20r and a 4spd tranny I bought a 22r and I'm not sure what 5spd trans I could easily swap to... Is there any 5spd trans I can just swap to without having to get a new tcase or drive lines? I saw other swaps like this on here but it seemed as people had to swap tcases or drive lines? Any help is appreciated!

 

L52 or L50 is a direct swap, same length as a 4 sped L43 (side shift) or L45 ( top shift) 4 speed. They are all about 21" long other models G or W series are going to be about 25" long..

 

So I can switch to those trannys and not have to change drive lines or transfer cases?
