Transmission/T-Case lunched, stuck in MS
Hello Ladies and Gents,
So i had my little 1991 Toyota pickup (22RE, 5-Speed, 4 wheel drive, Manual Hubs) for a few months and decided to drive out to California (From Georgia) and recently lunched, i think, the transfer case in Mississippi.
They are checking the car today, but i wanted to do a bit of research myself.
I can shift gears when clutch is depressed, but as soon as i let the clutch out, the truck wants to explode. It appears to have been stuck in 4-High, although i was able to shift between 2H, 4H and 4L no problem before.
I've been trying to figure out what transmission/T-case combination that i have. Guessing W56 with an RF1A? Or is it a G58 with VF1A?
VIN isn't on hand right now, so i can't post that, sorry.
Anybody in Miss have some leads on where to find one?
I'm stuck in Tupelo until then.
Appreciate all the info
