Cool Eye Candy...

Drove my buddy down to Amelia Isle FL yesterday to pick up his new baby. Oh... if I could afford two cars right now...

I was expecting...

...a hot chick, not a car!

I'm glad your pal likes it and that it is HIS car and not mine! I just can't EVER see myself driving something like that, or even paying for my kid to drive something like that. No offense, but I'm glad we all get to choose our own vehicle!!!

Although I can't share your enthusiasm for the T5R, I will admit it's impressive in it's own right, more over, impressive for a Volvo... I have a buddy w/ a Turbo wagon that has put more than a few GT's to shame @ Test & Tune night @ Rockingham... but it's got " mods " too... At least you got to go to FL!

Volvos like Toyotas (until they went to the letters and Ford took over) were extremely well built cars. I had a 95 T5 (turbo) and absolutely loved it before I got my Runner. There were just little things like extra grounding points that reminded that this was a well thought out car and they weren't cutting corners. I think every car maker should take notes on Volvo seats. I'm 6ft 8 and still was comfortable after a 6hr trip (can't say the same for my Runner). And for the money, there isn't much out there. He paid less than 10k for that car and its got everything (not to mention being limited production). Heated seats, sunroof, a soundsystem that has won bets on not having a sub, 17"-18" wheels that are tasteful, limited slip diff and 240hp. With a chip and intake your sitting at 300+hp. And honestly... what would you rather be in when you hit a tree? because we all know accidents happen...

We all like smoking fords and chevy trucks right? Imagine the look on a guy's face when his lightning gets beat by a refridgerator on wheels! And yes... ive seen it.

And wabbit, this one is for you... eventhough you don't think your kids should have the safest car on the road
