Battery Terminal Check & Fuse Box Cable

Hey guys, today i was working on my truck trying to organize my battery terminals because i had wires everywhere due to my dad's horrible wiring ability.
I just wanted to know, what wires are normal for the 22RE battery? What should be there and what shouldn't be?

This wire was originally on the Ground but must have snapped off and thats all thats left. Should that still be attached to the battery, or does it serve no purpose?

Please get back to me, i'd appreciate it.

That's the body ground wire. Yes, it should still be attached to the negative battery terminal. It serves MANY purposes. I don't even want to imagine all the things that won't work without it.

Probably the best thing to do is spend a few with your dad and list out what he did...or tried to do. Trace back all of the non-original wires to their sources just to confirm and go from there.

Broken body ground from battery is a bad thing unless he relocated it on purpose, but judging that the terminal is still there I'm thinking not.

Having extra accessory wires running to the battery is not a big deal if its done right.

Good luck.
